FJ40 Update
After a lot of body work paint finally gets done returning back to the original factory color, new American racing wheels and new 33’s and its ready to put back together.

Well after alot of body work the fj is starting to come together and gets the first coat of paint on the frame and undercarriage.
Acid washing the body to take it down to bare metal and cutting out the rotten areas. Got a Toyota fender to use as replacement sheet metal to weld in patches.
Starting the body work and replacing the brake system and doing some acid washing to kill the rust.
So after taking the steering column apart and finding that the ignition switch has been bypassed and the key doesn’t actually do anything its time to get under the dash and figure out which of the toggles and buttons actually make it work. Tomorrow is parts run day a 150 miles round trip but it […]
Well my gamble paid off it’s alive. Now its just a matter of putting the brake system and the clutch back together and Fuji should be able to move and function under its own power.
I had to order the parts out of California they gave me about a week delivery window. Parts ordered Hydraulic clutch master cylinder slave cylinder the connecting rods. Master Cylinder, brake Booster should arrive next week.
